Short video explaining the labour market estimates from the ONS covering September to November 2011. It shows the quarterly changes in employment, unemployment and inactivity as well as the monthly change in the claimant count. It then focuses on changes in unemployment since 1971 and looks at differences between men and women. Next is shows how unemployment has changed across the regions of the UK since 1992 before finally comparing changes in self-employment and the number of employees in the UK.
