Overview: The University of Leeds has 32,000 students and 7,000 staff. Dr Keith Pitcher is Environmental Officer. One of his main responsibilities is to encourage a greener attitude to waste management. Keith has had to balance a £90K investment in recycling equipment and facilities with the rising cost of sending waste to landfill.
